DESCRIPTION:
WW - Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner PCG, ref 7928, circa 1962, 42mm x 47mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back Oyster case with pointed crown guards and chamfered lugs as well as a bi-directional timing bezel with a MK2 fat font insert, repaired (see condition report) black matte exclamation point dial with a gilt chapter ring and lume painted indices, 17J cal 390, s#375934, triple signed, inside back ref 7928 with a III.62 date code.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, light oxide to steelwork, numerous small fine scratches to plates and rotor with light brassing to main plates; repaired and relumed dial with numerous scrapes and dings which have been painted over including new signature section and depth rating sections, gilt chapter ring is still original as is the SWISS below 6; excellent hands show light spotting with a slightly lighter luminous material; polished head shows very little wear, lug chamfers still fat and visible, numerous small dings on backs of lugs and case side; original Rolex crown shows hardly any wear, good threads; excellent high dome plastic crystal.
